Bio

I was born and raised in a small city in Hollister, California, but with hopes of  dreaming and achieving.  Leaving my family behind was a challenge, but I know I am one step closer to my dream of becoming a journalist. I obtained my undergraduate studies at California State University, Stanislaus and graduated with honors in Communication Studies and Spanish with a minor in Journalism. This profession has been my passion since I was a child, therefore, I decided to educate myself to the highest standards.
I was fortunate to the have the opportunity of my life- be admitted to the Master’s Program in Journalism and Public Affairs (Broadcast International) at American University in Washington, D.C. It has been through my perseverance, tenacity, and determination I have gotten where I am now.
Because of my dedication in Journalism, I am also member of National Association of Hispanic Journalist and currently intern as a reporter for a Hispanic magazine called-Padrisimo in San Francisco, California. In June 2008,  I was granted an internship with NBC/Telemundo in San Jose, CA and Univision in Monterey, CA. During my internships I worked in the news department, where my first day was not a meet and greet, but a day of developing a news story and field work.
Besides dedicating my time in the journalism industry, I also enjoy serving to my community. I am a current member of The League Of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) an organization which focuses on the civil rights of Hispanics and also places the highest standards in education for minority students. I am currently the President for the Young Adults in Califonia.
Preparing to be the next journalist is my priority. Expect to hear and read my work soon, because I know my aim is to diffuse to your homes the most impacting news story’s our nation faces! I am a passionate young lady who is about to grow in the journalism industry.
