Kelly Conniff is a multimedia journalist located in the Washington, D.C., area. She is currently a graduate student studying online journalism at American University. Conniff serves as an editorial intern for National Geographic Magazine's Web site. She is also a writer for SmartBrief Inc., a company that creates targeted industry e-newsletters.
Conniff graduated from James Madison University in May of 2008 with a double major in English and Media Arts and Design. During her time at JMU she worked on the student newspaper, The Breeze, where she served as a senior writer and copy editor. Conniff also created a community blogroll for the university and served as the executive editor of Madison 101, an orientation supplement with university-wide circulation.
A native of the Washington, D.C., area, Conniff spent seven years living in Germany during her childhood. As a result, she speaks fluent German and maintains a fierce love of Fanta and Nutella.
