The road to glory: AU Women's Basketball
Monday, February 8, 2010

Women’s basketball at AU is looking decidedly more promising than men’s. Before falling to Lehigh Saturday, 53-46, the lady Eagles were 6-0 in conference play. Now 7-1, the Eagles are tied with Lehigh for first in the conference, and that’s saying a lot, considering the next best record comes from Navy’s 4-4.
Barring a miracle, the lady Eagles, who have now faced off with every team in the division, are a shoe-in for finishing somewhere near the top of the conference, or at least that’s my prediction. What do you think? Will the Lady Eagles stay hot? Might they even take the Patriot Leagues and head to NCAAs? Or is the loss to Lehigh simply the beginning of the end?
