Observer II: New Observer Look, Same Great Taste
Russ Choma
There is a new Observer in the works. The development team (Anna, James, Caroline and David) leaked me a copy of a "draft" of a redesign - cleaner, simpler, but still in Drupal.
Check it out (click for the full size image):
Remember - it's not a final draft. Things will change. For example, the graphic under the header is just a placeholder. Have a good idea for what should go there? Something representative of the news, the web, AU, the class, a rotating collection of poignant photos we've taken, or a panorama of the District? They're looking for feedback - is there something missing, is there something you loved about the old site that you want included? So, what do you think? Email, blog, comment or bring comments for tomorrow's class...
And to give perspective, here's an older post from me about some of the other grad student journalism publications out there. And here's Berkeley's North Gate News Online and NYU's NYC Pavement Pieces.
