It was recently reported that some involved in the Easter Sunday gang activity in New York used Twitter to report on their status and involvement during and after the mayhem.

I was listening to 99.5 the other day, as I sat through morning rush hour traffic on 495-north to get to class, and the guy on the radio was talking about how Sandra Bullock had just changed her Facebook status to single.  E had announced it as breaking news the night before.  It's entirely entertaining how changing your relationship status on Facebook has become the big deal these days–so much that it's considered a source of breaking news.

I kind of miss the good old days of John Cusack standing outside Ione Skye's window blasting Peter Gabriel's, In Your Eyes, from his boombox–you know the scene.  It was so romantic–can you imagine the giant batteries it took to run?

We Media named Twitter a 2009 "Game Changer" at its annual conference in Miami Feb. 24-26. Not surprisingly, the We Media hashtag (#wemedia) was the No. 2 most popular hashtag worldwide during the conference.
 

Hey, have you heard?  There's this awesome Web 2.0 thing, it's called Twitter.  You can use it to send really short - 140-character  - messages to friends and family, and strangers.  Why would you want to do that?  Well, because you're a total narcissist and you want to make sure people follow your every move and random thought, of course. 

Since it is still Tuesday for a little while, I thought I would post this week's editon of Drupal Tuesdays, which isn't so much about Drupal, but about stuff we use within Drupal to market and add content to our Drupal site.

Ironically, through Twitter, I found out about a Swedish service that has taken microblogging to a new level.
