Defriending: the effect of a little button on our real lives

You had class with this kid who requested your friendship on Facebook.  You don't really care for the kid, but you didn't want to create awkward underlying tension in real life, so you accept his friendship.
 
Then class ends.
 
And you're bored one day, so you clean out your list and defriend the kid.
 
You'll never have to see him again, so it's okay.
