The Cuban Missile in Cincinnati

Yesterday, the newsest phenom in baseball Aroldis Chapman debuted for the Cincinnati Reds.  Chapman is a flamethrower and boy can he throw gas. He came out of the bullpen in relief and threw eit pitches, which including a strikeout and several pitches over 100 miles per hour. This was by far the buiggest debut for a Reds player ina long time. To blog or not to blog?

I'm a journalist. Therefore, I am a writer. In order to better myself as a writer, I must practice writing. Thus, the primary reason to blog.
Don't get me wrong, blogging is fun for me. I enjoy writing about my life, my experiences, my day, etc. But I hope this blog to be so much more than that. I don't want my angle to be all about me.
Well then what will it be about? I have no idea.
All I know is that blogging will enhance my writing skills (hopefully), and put me in the habit of writing daily.

Movie Review: It's Complicated

There’s nothing complicated about pairing comic genius Alec Baldwin (from TV’s “30 Rock”) with the versatile Meryl Streep in a romantic comedy with a smart plot and sharp dialogue. “It’s Complicated” just came out on DVD this week and it’s a “must rent” for those of us who appreciate the talents of Streep and Baldwin.

Relay for Life: Why we ‘Relay’

Melanie KramerMelanie KramerOn April 17, American Observer team News at 11 and 500 other participants raised more than $48,000 for American Cancer Society by participating in the American University Relay For Life, an all-night event held at Bender Arena.
