Engines rev at Washington Auto Show
This year's Washington Auto Show was no place to discuss the industry's recent woes. Instead, representatives from Ford to Fiat peddled their latest and flashiest sets of rides, even shying away from answering business-related questions.
Still, some auto show connoisseurs noted that this year's event was scaled down, compared to some shows prior to the major auto industry flop.
The layout featured American brands Ford and General Motors on the first floor of the convention center, with much smaller displays from imports like Mercedes, Toyota, Honda, BMW, Lexus, Acura, Kia, Nissan and others dotting the second floor. Small sections were also devoted to new technologies like hydrogen, electric and bio-diesel vehicles.
Other than actually attending the show, the best way to experience the autos is through pictures. Check out the following slideshow of some of the highlights.
